Today's been pretty good!!
Yesterday at work was slow. Mom and I even stayed over at my bookstore a little longer and played a few board games while we were hoping for people to come in, because my bookshop is nearby an auction house. There was an auction indeed, but it didn't seem to interest most people much, and they all left. :/
So, my mom and I left not long after that and went home.
Today, I sold a bunch of books! Yay! Most of who came to shop were new customers, too.
I also managed to get some fanfic editing done!
Since I'm gradually getting back into the Death Note fandom, re-reading the manga again at least, I was also looking over one of my two awesomely well written fan fictions. Last night, sometime after the new episode of Grim had ended, I looked over my really dark and suspenseful story of mine, titled Crawl. (I titled it partially after the perfect main theme song that just added onto a plot bunny that just refused to leave me be, after reading this other awesome Death Note story on fanfiction.net titled God of the Machine. Check out song "Watch You Crawl" by Red!)
My same own main character from Collide is in there, in a different point in time and circumstance in which Light becomes Kira. There's psychological/emotional horror and abuse in this, just to warn you! It's an overall very gripping, somewhat unsettling story.

Tomorrow, I intend to start chapter 3. XD This is supposed to be the harder of the two to write, and I'm going back to this one first. Collide is one I've written more chapters for.
Later on, I just know Crawl will be more and more challenging to write as the story progresses. I'm up for it. Oh my god, I captured an irate Kira really well. My own character's fear and paranoia is portrayed really good too. I've never written something this dark, in two really long chapters! This has been like a milestone for me, and I know I should keep going here! I still remember most of what I got in mind for this. Those plot bunnies are coming back, yay!

I've been aware of Death Note for a long while but I've never read a single word of it. It's an intriguing concept though. I really must check it out some time.

I think you'll enjoy the manga, at least. The anime's good too, and it gets ridiculous in some places. (Light's thought process in an episode: I'll take a potato chip, and EAT IT! Commence sparkles as he bites into that chip!)
I think in Crawl, at some point, my own character will see Light casually eat a bag of potato chips and snicker, thinking of that moment. She'll think of that thought quote.
Also, there's this hilarious fan trailer put together I've known about on YouTube, in which you don't really have to understand Death Note to get why it's so funny. Death-A-Sketch, the Etch-A-Sketch of death. XD ("Damn it, this is hard! ...Do I really have to write the whole name down?")
Yes, must mention that in Crawl too, through my own character! I know I'll laugh hard while writing Light's reaction to being told about that, in addition to the death god who dropped the Death Note going into hysterics.
