First things first; yeeeep, I'm still alive! I managed to catch up with some of you on my F-list! Next week, I'll try to say hi to some more of you.

I figured I wasn't the only one hyped up about the uber awesome FF7 remake. *flail, fail, flail!* It's happening! It's actually happening!! I remember first reading about a 3D remake about this ages ago, in a Game Informer magazine. That was just trolly of Square Enix to just show dangle the concept over us like that, IMO.

Now, it thrills me that it's becoming a reality. Woohoo! \o/

I have NO IDEA when I'll get a PS4! (A Nintendo 3DS is the next big thing to save up for anyway, once I'm successful in getting a hang drum.) Video Gaming wise, I've only done a little DS gaming over the weekend.

Still board gaming, of course. It's amazing that more people have visited the meetup group. I think there's one or two new regulars or semi-regulars. That's awesome.

Haha, last Friday, I almost pulled a Ryan Higa with Mom. Though, Tri-ominos is hard for me to win and get lucky at... The golden horseshoe was with me during all the other games. We're especially competitive when playing Splendor. It's one of our most favorite warm-up games.

Ugh has proven to be a lot of fun too. What's amazing about that press your luck card game is this; there are times when it gets brutal! You may happen to draw a few nice various colored cards with high point values on one turn, only to draw a minus 3 Ugh card the next, leading to discarding your whole face up pile of point cards. (If the Ugh card is the first one you take from the draw pile, you get to keep that as a consolation prize. At scoring time, the end of the game, each Ugh is 3 points each.)

The rest of what's going on with me will go under cuts.

I had put together a new vlog last week, soon after a family friend had delivered 3 flats worth of new plants! They're all lovely! Had to record them on video...

Since I'm getting better at editing my vlogs, I'll possibly do more in the near future!

The Foxglove (also known as Digitalis) has been my new favorite plant since I've looked up information about it online. It's a biennial that mimics a perennial--meaning that when it reaches maturity at the end of its 2 year life-span, the flowers release these tiny, self-sown seeds. After it dies, more grow back within the next spring or summer season. The entire process repeats if you don't remove the flower spikes.

Some days later, after I recorded that vlog, my foxglove had started leaning close to the ground. That's not good, because it's supposed to be growing upright. In height, foxgloves can grow up to about 6 feet... I'm hoping it will mature and release seeds later despite of this! I love how they look. There's all these different beautiful variations of these, as I show in my music video version of my latest instrumental I completed last week. :D

Even though all foxgloves are poisonous, it's not too bad. You just can't confuse this with any other plant. People can get sick and die doing that. I found out these grow over the US east coast--and I live in southern Maryland.

I don't just go out into the woods munching on parts of plants or cutting off parts of them to make tea. I would never do that--certainly not without a proper guide book, or plant expert.

If you'd like to see my debut Plant Love episode on foxgloves, it can be found on the same channel I post my vlogs on. If you click on the Watch on YouTube hypertext on the first video, you'll be able to find my variety channel. :) Though, I messed up in a few places, and the way I ended it is okay, on my standards. Keep that in mind please. The next episode will turn out better.

This new series is about my experiences in growing certain plants, why I like them, and information on how to care for them...along with various pics and other interesting and informative stuff. I've already decided on what the next episode will be about; strawberry plants! I already have the music made for it. It's nice, mellow, happy-sounding, and down tempo.

I liked the intro and outro music I made for the debut episode a lot. I felt inspired to make a full instrumental foxglove tribute, so I did. I just might do the same towards an original music tribute towards strawberry plants. I think I could make a neat full track at least from the intro music, later...

One more thing about my music; my Darius Twin remix. I'm soooooo close to finally finishing it! The final edits for the most part have been frustrating, but my perfectionism and mass amounts of brain power I've put forth have all been worth it. There's just two little things to fix, volume wise. Just those two things. After that the track will sound good even on the headphones!

Once again, I've been surfing YouTube a lot. My main E-crush, Ryan Higa (lol) along with some of his friends have been making some new great videos. How many of you are familiar with the instrumental "Sandstorm", by Darude? It's techno from the 90's. Ryan and friends recently did their cover of that. It's so cool, unique, odd, and amusing.

Joshua Fu (of Fu Music, check them out) has been staying with RHPC (Ryan Higa Production Crew) for quite a while now, and he did the audio portion of the song. Greg Slops (slopsmcgee is his YouTube channel) did the video editing during the cover. They both are so amazingly talented!

I also frequently check HigaTV, their other channel. I smile, snicker, chuckle, and laugh while watching them play games together. Their last two gaming vids brought reminded me of some great board games I've played with Mom and friends in our meetup group; Alliance, The Game of Things, Pictionary, Concept (which is a new spin on Pictionary), and Telestrations.

It was hilarious during those times when we got together to play Pictionary and Telestrations. It's been a while since we last played The Game of Things--one of the few that's caused some of us to laugh so hard. We really should play that again sometime! Of course, Telestrations is a riot too; a combination of Pictionary and the telephone game.

I'm late into checking out Kevjumba's videos, but he's pretty cool. A person like him is someone I could get along well with. In what I've seen he's genuinely honest, and is a humanitarian. Generous, since he wanted to donate to various charities by using his JumbaFund channel. Lately, he's been so busy with other things, such as helping those around him at the high school that's been named after him (according to what I've noticed while giving his instagram a glance), because he's helped them loads already. I hope he's doing all right. All the best to him, whether or not he'll ever do more for his channels. I'm sure he knows that a bunch of people miss hearing from this dude, including the friends closest to him; RHPC, Wong Fu Productions, D-Trix, and the others in YTF...

I've followed him, Ryan, and the Fu brothers on Twitter for quite a while now. I just started following Peter Hollens, because he is an amazing singer, alongside his wife, OMG...

I've been semi-active on Twitter these days. Anyone of you on my f-list of course is welcome to follow me (darkwriter00). I started posting some new abstract art I've done on the Muro at Deviantart.com. I've already put all of them, along with really good quality photos of the plants on my site's art gallery. I've only begun to really challenge myself on the Muro now. It'll be a while until I get around to finishing it though. XD I'm still really busy with music, combined with working at my shop 5 days a week.
