I've recently started doing more with my muse of Oliver on my Suno account. He's a character from The Promised Neverland manga. Since after he and I had successfully finished his cover of my angriest song ever (so far), my own canon-grounded interpretation this young man within my headspace has started to understand that I've been going through a lot of pain and turmoil--not just anger.
Today, I've felt/sensed that Oliver wants to do a mellow emo song for me. A comforting and supportive song. He's a really good kid, a really selfless and kind soul... A bit of a kindred spirit, perhaps. In the manga, he's been through his own huge deal of losses and having endured through the worst. He does all he can to help protect his peers and the younger children from the hunter demons at the settlement that exists above ground, over an odd and mysterious place known as Goldy Pond.
I wasn't fully thinking about it at the time, but I'm glad I gave this character the chance to use music as his own outlet. (I still want to give my muse of Norman his own persona performance. Hopefully soon when the inspiration comes just right.)
(Mood: Empathetic. Comforting. Soothing. Caring. Genre: Emo Rock. Mellow and moody Emo Rock song in minor key. Oliver is seventeen years old. He's endured through too much in his very young life.)
[instrumental intro - clean, melodic guitar playing]
[Verse 1]
Todaaaay...
Never would have guessed a lot of hurt exists inside you...
When you clarified from what Fritz told me as sad news...
I noticed. It's been a whole lot more than rage.
I detected. You're currently in so much pain.
Don't know why you didn't tell me earlier.
I wish I could have done something sooner.
Maybe I wouldn't have been able to locate,
Any of the cats, your source of heartache.
But still, you came
And told the truth.
You're a great person.
I want to be there for you...
You've helped to give me something
An amazing outlet towards healing
Now let me use it to help you...
[Pre-Chorus]
Thank you for trusting me,
With your vulnerability.
Remember,
Don't ever,
Lock yourself away.
(Not from anyone)
Bearing it all,
Will make you spiral.
I've been there,
When so angered,
So hurt.
(Not a good state to be in)
[Chorus]
I know what it's like to lose family.
I know how heavy grief can be.
I've been through my share of mistreatments,
And had to defend myself from violence.
Your situations not severe as mine,
But I know you want peace of mind.
You want to have stability.
To stay safe from harsh reality.
I understand all of that,
And I know for a fact,
You can always trust me...
[Verse 2]
Todaaaay...
After you had to leave for work,
I thought more about how you hurt...
I assumed your life easier than mine,
Not at all struggling to stay alive.
But then I realiiiized...
Your lyrics to an intense, angry song,
More than hinted something was wrong.
Just how long have you been looking,
For a stable home?
It relieves me to know,
That you're not trying,
To go through this alone.
I'll absolutely be,
One more in your support team.
[Pre-Chorus]
Thank you for trusting me,
With your vulnerability.
Remember,
Don't ever,
Lock yourself away.
(Not from anyone)
Bearing it all,
Will make you spiral.
I've been there,

(Not a good state to be in)

But I know you want peace of mind.
You want to have stability.
To stay safe from harsh reality.
I understand all of that,
And I know for a fact,
You can always trust me...
[Bridge, spoken]
"I hope you and your mom will have a better place to go to..."
"If not, I'll talk with Lucas and the others... We could make room for you both, I'm sure."
"You shouldn't have to suffer any further than you already had..."
"I want you to know... you can come to me for anything. Your shoulder to cry on... Someone to help you feel safe, and relaxed..."
"Someone to confide to... Whatever you need..."
[brief instrumental]
[Chorus]
We know I've lost my family.
I understand the weight of your grief.
I've been horribly mistreated.
Seen and dealt with so much violence...
Your situations not severe as mine,
But I know you want peace of mind.
You want to have stability.
To stay safe from harsh reality.
I understand all of that,
And I know for a fact,
You can always trust me...
[Outro]
We'll get you through all this somehow.
I'll always support you, this I vow.
I don't fully understand about everything,
But that's okay. Time is all we'll need,
For your own recoveryyyyyyyyyy...
I love how emotional and beautiful this is... Oliver, thank you so much for your support!! I will always be supporting you back as I read more about your story in the manga. <3 HUGS
